Terms and Conditions for Receiving a Supplementary Pension from Doverie VPF
To receive a supplementary pension is the natural end of the whole process of insurance with a supplementary pension fund.

If you are a member of Doverie Voluntary Pension Fund, with the contributions you make to your individual fund account you effect an insurance for three types of pensions - for old age, disability and survivors pension.

Depending on the type of pension you have become eligible for, the procedure for granting the respective pension to an insured person or a survivor is as follows:

 

Personal Pension for Old-Age

Eligibility for a personal supplementary old-age pension from Doverie Voluntary Pension Fund shall occur when the insured person becomes eligible for old age and length of service pension under the conditions of Part I of the Social Insurance Code or  by desire of the insured person, five years earlier.  The personal old-age pension is granted for a limited period of 1 to 20 years.

 

The application form shall be filed at one of the offices of the company by the insured person, in person or by an individual authorized by a proxy certified by a notary.

 

The following documents shall be enclosed with the application form:

  • a copy of the personal identification documents;
  • a copy of the order of NSSI for granting a pension;
  • a proxy certified by a notary.

 

 

Personal Disability Pension

  • A person insured with Doverie VPF shall become eligible for a personal disability pension provided that his work capacity has been impaired by at least 50 per cent or more. The disability pension shall be granted from the date of disablement and for the period of disability determined by the decision of the medical experts' commission (DMEC or NMEC).

 

The application form shall be filed at one of the offices of the company by the insured person, in person or by an individual authorized by a proxy certified by a notary.

 

The following documents shall be enclosed with the application form:

  • a copy of the personal identification documents;
  • a copy of the decision of the medical experts' commission (DMEC or NMEC);
  • a proxy certified by a notary.

 

Survivors pension to survivors of a deceased member or pensioner

In case of demise of an insured person or pensioner of Doverie VPF, the right to survivors pension will belong to:

  • 1. The widow/widower;
  • 2. descending or ascending;
  • 3. legal heirs;
  • 4. other beneficiary, named in the insurance or the pension contract.

 

The application form shall be filed at one of the offices of the company by each survivor, in person or by an individual authorized by a proxy certified by a notary.

 

The following documents shall be enclosed with the application form:

  • a copy of the personal identification documents;
  • a copy of the certificate of death;
  • a copy of the survivors' certificate;
  • a copy of the birth certificate for persons under 18;
  • a proxy certified by a notary.

 

Lump-sum payment of the accumulated amounts at the time of eligibility for a pension

The assets accumulated in the individual account of the person in Doverie VPF may be withdrawn in lump-sum by the insured person (at the time of eligibility for the respective type of supplementary pension) or by his/her survivors that have submitted an application for a lump-sum payment in person or by an individual authorized by a proxy certified by a notary.  

 

The following documents shall be enclosed with the application form:

  • a copy of the personal identification documents;
  • a copy of the order of NSSI for granting a pension;
  • a proxy certified by a notary;

 

The survivors shall enclose the following documents:

  • a copy of the personal identification documents;
  • a copy of the certificate of death;
  • a copy of the survivors' certificate;
  • a proxy certified by a notary;
  • a copy of the birth certificate for persons under 18.

 

Subsequent activity

After submission of the respective application with all accompanying documents, within 30 days from its reception the company issues an order for granting the respective type of pension.

Agreeing with the order conditions the person signs a pension contract.

Supplementary pensions are granted from the first day of the month following the month in which the insured person became eligible for the respective type of pension in accordance with Art. 48 of the Regulations of Doverie VPF.  They are paid by the 15th of each month, for the previous month through a bank transfer or by postal order.

The supplementary pensions paid by the voluntary pension fund will be updated every three months according to the fund's yield on its investments during the preceding three months.

Upon submission of the applications the originals of all necessary documents shall be presented, which after examination by an officer of the company shall be returned to the insured persons.
